Meet the Library Staff
Catherine Busick, Librarian
Welcome to the Isely Library! I am Mrs. Busick, a proud product of Wichita Public Schools, attending Kindergarten through 12th grades at Price-Harris Elementary, Coleman Middle, and East High in the IB program. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State and will graduate with my Master’s in Library Media from Fort Hays State University in May 2025. The 2024-2025 school year marks TEN years working for WPS; I taught third, fourth, and fifth grades at Harry Street Elementary before transitioning to the library at Isely.
I love to cook, peruse cookbooks, read at local coffee shops, and walk to College Hill Park with my husband and son. It is a privilege to serve the students and families at Isely Traditional Magnet in our beautiful Isely Library.

Guide to Book Care
- Keep your books in a safe place.
- Return your books on time.
- Do not eat or drink while reading library books.
- Wash and dry your hands before reading library books.
- Keep books away from pets and little ones. They do not know how to take care of books!
- Never draw or write in a library book!
- Always use a bookmark!
- If the library book has been damaged, bring it to your librarian. They will repair it if they can. DO NOT REPAIR THE BOOK YOURSELF! Your librarian has the right tools and training to fix books.
- If you lose your book or it is damaged while in your care, you will need to pay to replace it. Talk to your librarian.
