I am very excited about the opportunity to work with everyone at Isely. I received my B. A. in elementary education from Southwestern College in Winfield. It is such a joy being able to work with kindergarten students. I am also the Latchkey director. I am married and have 2 beautiful daughters. |

I have been with the Wichita School District since 2001 and I’ve been teaching Kindergarten at Isely since 2004. I received my B.S. in elementary education from WSU and will finish my Masters in Counseling in May 2010. I am so fortunate to be in a job-share position with a wonderful teaching partner, Kelly Puckett. Teaching part-time allows me to do the two things I love: teaching Kindergarteners and being a mom! |

I have had the opportunity to teach a 4/5 combo class, 4th grade, be an instructional coach, and Kindergarten. I have a BA in elementary education from WSU and a MA in school administration from Baker. I have 2 beautiful kids at home, Ella and Evan. Job sharing is truly the best of both worlds, especially when you have great kids and a great job share partner! |

Lindsay McFarland I am originally from Boise, Idaho but made the move to Wichita with my husband this summer. I graduated from Brigham Young University and have been teaching since 2006. I have taught 2nd grade, and look forward to teaching first grade. A little about me: I got married this summer to a wonderful man, enjoy Diet Dr. Pepper and chips and salsa, and love to read. I love my job and truly have a passion for teaching. I truly feel my niche is in the classroom. I am so excited to be at Isely this year and look forward to a great year! |

Jamie Lewis I am so happy to be teaching at Isely Traditional Magnet! I received my degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University. I love working with primary students and am so excited to teach 1st grade. In addition, I recently got engaged and am looking forward to starting a new life in Wichita as well as a new career at Isely! |

Lisa Beun I am very excited to be part of the Isely team! I began teaching in 2006 and have had the opportunity to teach fifth grade and second grade. I completed my degree in elementary education from Bluffton University in Ohio. I am currently working on a Master’s degree in Reading/Literacy. Teaching elementary-aged students is a very rewarding experience and I love how excited second graders are about learning new things! |

Angelina Daniel I earned my degree at Wichita State University. I have found that the parental involvement at Isely is outstanding. As a staff we are so lucky to have this kind of support. I am married and have 3 wonderful sons. Students excitement in learning is a great thing to experience! |

Jennifer Meek I am a Wichita native, attended Wichita public schools, and graduated from Wichita State. I have been teaching since 1997 – five years in Manhattan, KS, and I have been back in Wichita, at Isely, since 2002. I have taught kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 4th grade, as well as substituted in all grade levels. I am married and have three beautiful daughters and two spoiled cats. I love teaching at Isely! The staff and students are the best!

| Darcie Rudd 5th Grade Teacher drudd@usd259.net I am a Wichita native. I graduated from Heights High School where I was very active in music, theatre, and sports. I have received both my Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Education from Wichita State University, writing my master’s thesis on teaching creative writing, and I am still a huge Shocker fan. My entire teaching career has been in Wichita. Among my professional accomplishments are inclusion in Who’s Who in American Education, Excellence in Public Service and Distinguished Classroom Teacher nominations, and USD 259’s Good Apple Award. I am very active in my church where I have been the Director of Music since 1985, conducting both our Chancel and Handbell choirs. I enjoy spending time at home with my two children and our two dogs. My hobbies include sports and other outdoor activities, music, and reading. I love being a teacher, and I am very excited about being at Isely Traditional Magnet. |

Nicole Thomsen I am so thrilled to be working at Isely in this capacity! I earned my Bachelors degree in Education at Wichita State University in 2002. I taught 5th grade at Mueller Elementary for 6 years. My first Masters is in Instructional Design and Technology from Emporia State University which I received in 2006. I am currently taking classes online through Pittsburg State University working towards a Masters in Educational Technology: Library Media Licensure. Using technology with students is of high priority to me. Keep up-to-date with what's going on in Library at our library website! |

Joni Miller I’ve been teaching Art since 1992. I came to Isely in 2002. I don’t just teach Art, I love Art! I eat and breathe Art. I look for art wherever I am. My kitchen table is piled with new projects I’ve started. I feel honored to be able to teach your children. I love to watch children create and I hope I can help their imaginations soar. |

Julie Lienhard I have taught Special Education for various schools and in various capacities for 23 years. I am very excited to be at Isely, working with such a great staff. I am from Wichita, but went to school at Oklahoma State. I am married to an Okie and am blessed with 4 children and 2 dogs. (I’m not sure who is naughtier, the dogs or the children!) I recently received my Master of Arts in Teaching from Friends University. |

Michelle Lay I have worked in the Wichita Public Schools for twenty-two years. I began my career with USD259 as an elementary teacher teaching first and second grades for ten years, then I went downtown to MIS (Data Center) where I was a Computer Technician for nine years; now I am beginning my fourth year as a school counselor. This will be my second year at Isely and I am excited to be a part of such a wonderful school family. I am looking forward to a great year with the Isely students |
