It
is a true honor to be serving the families of Isely
Traditional Magnet. In my previous career as a fourth
grade teacher, I was one of the founding teachers for the
first traditional school in Wichita, Bostic. My beliefs
and values are aligned with those of Isely, strengthening
our school-wide vision towards excellence for all Isely
students. My office door is always open!

I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education at
Wichita State University. This is my 7th year with the
district and my 6th year with Isely. I
love teaching first grade. At times I find that I
learn just as much from my students as they learn from
me! I think parents play a very important role in a
child's education. I look forward to working with
parents and students.
I am married and have 4 wonderful children. My students keep
me busy at school and my kids keep me busy at home!

I am so happy to
be teaching at Isely. It’s a great place to be. It is a
place filled with dedicated teachers who are all about
the success of children.
I have been teaching for fifteen
years. The first seven of those years were in Ashdown,
Arkansas, where I taught 3rd grade. I look
forward to coming to work everyday, because I love
teaching and I love kids!
I moved here about eight years ago
from Texarkana, Texas. When I first moved here I longed
for home; now Wichita is home. I love it here!
I have two daughters. Victoria is 12
years old, and attends school at Mayberry. Carmen is
21, and is a senior at K-State where she is studying to
be an architect. |
