It is a true honor to be serving the families of Isely Traditional Magnet. In my previous career as a fourth grade teacher, I was one of the founding teachers for the first traditional school in Wichita, Bostic. My beliefs and values are aligned with those of Isely, strengthening our school-wide vision towards excellence for all Isely students. My office door is always open!

I am so thrilled to be teaching at Isely!  I have been teaching for Wichita for over four years and this is my second year at Isely and in Kindergarten.  My past teaching experience was at Minneha in 1st grade.  I received my B.S. from WSU and am currently working on my Masters in Counseling at WSU.  I come from a family of teachers and have found this profession to be enormously rewarding!!  Kindergarten is such a wonderful time, as the children grow and learn so much!!

I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education at Wichita State University. This is my 7th year with the district and my 6th year with Isely. I love teaching first grade. At times I find that I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me! I think parents play a very important role in a child's education. I look forward to working with parents and students.

I am married and have 4 wonderful children.  My students keep me busy at school and my kids keep me busy at home!

I am so happy to be teaching at Isely. It’s a great place to be. It is a place filled with dedicated teachers who are all about the success of children.

I have been teaching for fifteen years. The first seven of those years were in Ashdown, Arkansas, where I taught 3rd grade. I look forward to coming to work everyday, because I love teaching and I love kids!

I moved here about eight years ago from Texarkana, Texas. When I first moved here I longed for home; now Wichita is home. I love it here!

I have two daughters. Victoria is 12 years old, and attends school at Mayberry. Carmen is 21, and is a senior at K-State where she is studying to be an architect.

I have worked for the Wichita School District for over 7 years now and I have loved every minute. I am a graduate of Wichita State University with a master in Curriculum and Instruction. I have a wife and two children so I have no time for a hobby but I do slip away to a WSU basketball game now and then.  I know that this year will be an exciting one. I am a Wichita native. I graduated from Heights High School where I was very active in music, theatre, and sports. I have received both my Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Education from Wichita State University, writing my master’s thesis on teaching creative writing, and I am still a huge Shocker fan. I have been teaching in Wichita for 19 years. Among my professional accomplishments are inclusion in Who’s Who in American Education, Excellence in Public Service and Distinguished Classroom Teacher nominations, and USD 259’s Good Apple Award.

I am very active in my church where I have been the Director of Music since 1985, conducting both our Chancel and Handbell choirs.  I enjoy spending time at home with my two children and our two dogs. My hobbies include sports and other outdoor activities, music, and reading. I love being a teacher, and I am very excited about being at Isely Traditional Magnet.
